Courses & levels

I have never studied Japanese. Where do I start?+

Start with JLPT N5 — Foundation. It assumes zero knowledge and teaches hiragana and katakana from the first week, then builds to 100 kanji and 800 words.

How long does each level take?+

N5 runs 4 months, N4 five, N3 six, N2 seven and N1 eight. Live batches meet twice a week and the self-paced track is always open.

Can I skip a level?+

Yes, if you pass our free placement test. Book a consultation and we will assess your reading, listening and grammar before recommending a level.

Do you teach kanji stroke order and handwriting?+

Every kanji lesson covers stroke order, readings, compounds and handwriting practice with teacher correction on submitted assignments.

Classes & schedule

Are classes online or in person?+

Both. Live batches run on Zoom and Google Meet, and our Colombo campus hosts in-person speaking labs and exam-day preparation.

What if I miss a live class?+

Every session is recorded and posted to your dashboard the same evening, along with the notes and any homework set in class.

How large are the batches?+

Maximum twelve students, so everyone speaks in every lesson.

Fees, payment & certificates

How do I pay?+

Through PayHere or card. Course fees can be paid in monthly instalments; ask us when you enrol.

How much is the certificate?+

Rs. 350 as a one-time fee per course. It covers PDF issuance, your entry in the certificate register and lifetime QR verification.

Is the certificate the same as passing the JLPT?+

No. Our certificate confirms you completed the course with us. The JLPT itself is an official exam administered separately — our courses prepare you for it.

Do you offer refunds?+

Course fees are refundable within seven days of the batch start if you have completed fewer than three lessons. Certificate fees are non-refundable once the PDF is issued.

JLPT exam

When is the JLPT held in Sri Lanka?+

Twice a year, in July and December. Registration typically opens about three months before each sitting.

Do you help with registration?+

Yes. Our JLPT coaches walk every student through registration, test-centre selection and exam-day logistics.

How many mock tests will I sit?+

At least three full-length mocks per level, timed and marked in the same format as the real exam.
